Continuing Education Requirements

​Every agent and adjuster licensed in the state of North Carolina must complete 24 hours of CE for one license or any combination of licenses, every two years.  24 credit hours are required regardless of the number of license(s) held.  A 3hour Ethics course must be completed every compliance period for all license(s).

For agents that hold a Property and Casualty license, or an Adjusters Insurance license, you must complete 24 hours of CE, including a 3hour Ethics course every compliance period (24 months) and a 3hour Flood course every other compliance period.  

In addition, for agents who sell Long-Term Care Partnership products, an initial 8 hour Partnership Training Course is required.  After the initial course, a 4 hour partnership Refresher is required every compliance period.

Regardless of the type of license you hold, you may take any of the CE courses offered at our insurance school for credit.  There are no tests to receive credit for CE, but full attendance is required.

No matter what type of license you hold, you may take any of the CE courses we offer. 

To obtain proper CE credit, you must provide your NPN (National Producer Number) when you register for class.   If you do not know yours, please visit SBS Licensing Services  to obtain it.  With your NPN number, you can verify your Continuing Education Transcript at CE Transcript which includes your compliance period and your required courses.
